Trichomoniasis is a very common, but not a well known STD. Good test, but a little expensive. Includes free treatment.

Doctors recommend that all adults get tested once for Hepatitis. Good test, if you've never been tested for Hepatitis before.

HIV RNA Early Detection test can detect HIV 2 weeks earlier than basic HIV test. Good test, but expensive.

Doctors recommend against testing for Herpes unless you have symptoms. That's because most people will test positive for Herpes 1 and/or Herpes 2. And, while Herpes can not be cured, most people with Herpes never develop any symptoms. Bad test, unless your have symptoms.

Doctors recommend getting a general blood test once a year. It measures blood sugar, cholesterol, calcium, kidney function, liver function, and more. Doctors use this panel to check for diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, anemia, leukemia, high cholesterol, heart disease, thyroid disorders. This is known as annual physical. Good test, once a year.

In which states do you offer testing?

In all states except NY, NJ, and RI. Regulations in these 3 states don't allow people to order lab tests online.

How old do I have to be to get tested?

Any age is fine. We test both adults and children. Tests for children must be ordered by their parents.

Do I need health insurance?

No. We do not accept health insurance. This helps us keep our prices low. We do accept HSA and FSA cards.

Do I need a lab order from my doctor?

No. One of our own doctors will order the tests for you. The lab order is included in our pricing. If you already have a lab order from your doctor, you can order the same tests from us and give the results to your doctor.

How long do I have to do the testing?

The lab order is valid for 6 months. You can get tested whenever you want during that time.

What labs do you use?

We use Quest Diagnostics labs to do the blood draw and to process the tests. You can go to any of 2,300 Quest Diagnostics locations all over United States. Use our lab locator to find a Quest Diagnostics lab near you.

What happens after I pay online?

We send your lab order to the lab electronically as soon as you pay, 24/7. We also give you a copy of the lab order online. You can go to the lab immediately after you pay.

After placing my order, how soon can I go to the lab?

Immediately, unless your test requires fasting. No appointment is necessary.

Do I need to make an appointment with the lab?

No. Appointments are not required. Our labs are walk-in.

How will the lab know I ordered the tests?

We will send your lab order to the lab electronically. So they will have it in their system under your name when you come in. We will also give you a copy of lab order online, so you can print it out or bring it on your phone, just in case.

Will I need to pay anything to the lab?

No. Your order is fully pre-paid. This includes the lab order and the tests. There are no hidden charges. The lab will not ask you to pay for anything.

How will I get my test results?

We will email you as soon as we get the results from Quest. The email will include a link to download the results as a PDF. The results will always be available under your account on our website.

Can I share the results with my doctor? Will my doctor accept the results?

Yes. To share results with your doctor, we recommend that you print out the report and bring it with you to the doctor's appointment. You can also email or fax the results to your doctor. Our report is identical to what doctor receives from Quest Diagnostics when the doctor orders the tests for you.

Will you send my results to my doctor?

Only if you ask us to. Your results are completely confidential. You can share them how and when you wish, it is your choice.

Is the testing private?

Yes. The testing and the results are completely confidential. We will not give any information to your doctor, insurance or family unless you ask us to. We will not mail anything to your house, we do everything online.

STD Testing FAQ

How soon will I get the results?

STD test results usually take 1 to 3 days.

Will I be able to understand the results?

Yes. For each test the report will say if the results are normal (negative) or abnormal (positive for an STD). Abnormal results will be highlighted.

Do I need to fast?

No. Fasting is not needed for STD testing.

How often should I get tested for STDs?

CDC recommends getting tested once a year. Gay men should get tested every 3 to 6 months.

How soon after unprotected sex should I get tested for STDs?

It takes some time for STDs to become detectable after infection. And that time is different for different STDs. Because of that it's ideal to get tested twice:

• 2 weeks after sex, including HIV RNA Early Detection test to get the results as soon as possible for early treatment and peace of mind.
• And then 2-3 months later repeat Full STD Panel to catch anything that may not have shown up on the early test because of long incubation time. If the results are negative but you still have STD symptoms, you should immediately consult a doctor.
